LuCID success to inspire future engineers at Cambridge University

The recent award of £1m NHS funding to our LuCID project was made the subject of a piece in the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering newsletter.

The LuCID (Lung Cancer Indicator Detection) project is researching the early, non-invasive diagnosis of lung cancer by measuring volatile organic compounds in patients’ breath. A related project called Breathe Free is bringing together a community of researchers interested in breath-based diagnostics to jointly design an open-source breath sampler.
